Pink Day

0

April 12, 2017 is the second Red Cross Pink Day. The first Pink Day of 2017 was held on Feb. 22, 2017. The goal of the day is to bring awareness to the issues of bullying and it’s impact by wearing pink. This year’s theme is Heroes Assemble. We all have the capacity to be kind and compassionate. We can learn to appreciate and celebrate our diversity. Promoting respect and kindness, and speaking out about bullying is heroic.

How can you take part?

  • Wear pink on April 12, 2017
  • Organize an event in your school or community
  • Help spread kindness and respect by speaking out against bullying with #HeroesAssemble

Are you dealing with bullying?

Know that it is never your fault if you’ve experienced bullying and you’re not alone. It can be important to talk to an adult you trust about what you are experiencing. This could be a family member, teacher, school counsellor or Teen Clinic. It can also include a free phone line or free drop-in counselling.
