Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness Week (SRH Week) 2020 is just around the corner! This year, it will take place from February 10-14 with the theme: Sex-ed keeps us healthy.
When it’s done right, sex-ed means people have the information and skills they need to be healthy and live a full life. As a society, it means we can address big issues like rising rates of STIs, discrimination, and gender-based violence. In fact, it saves lives because it tackles the root causes of negative health outcomes.
Sex-ed gives us the right information to better take care of our bodies. Sex-ed also shapes a culture of equality where everyone can thrive and be safe from violence and discrimination and teaches us the skills to nurture healthy relationships.
