International Women’s Day

0

March 8 is International Women’s Day (IWD). It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year we are looking forward to build a gender-balanced world. Everyone has a part to play – all the time, everywhere. Balance drives a better working world. Let’s all help create a #BalanceforBetter.

The day also marks a call to action for #BalanceforBetter gender parity. We continue to have work to do. Are you ready to  this IWD 2017 and beyond?

Let’s build a gender-balanced world

Each one of us -women, men and non-binary people – joining forces purposeful collaboration, we can help women advance and unleash their limitless potential which in turn lifts all of us up.

Call on the masses or call on yourself to help forge a better world – a more gender inclusive world.

Use IWD as an important opportunity to:

  • Celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women because visibility and awareness help drive positive change for women.
  • Declare actions you’ll take as an individual to help progress the gender agenda because purposeful action can accelerate gender parity across the world. Use hash tags #IWD2019 and #BalanceforBetter
  • Show solidarity and support for women by wearing a red arm band on March 8
  • Self-care as a woman in the world is a movement against sexist expectations. As Audre Lord once said, “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.”
