Peer supporters are young people who provide support to other young people by listening, referring and giving information about health and safety. They are volunteers who reach out to peers in their community to provide accurate information, resources and links to services in their communities. They are the bridge for connecting their peers with what they need.
Want to become a Peer Supporter?
Our next training starts October 3, 2017! The training will be every Tuesday evening, 6-9pm until December 12, 2017. If you’d like to sign up or learn more email us at email@example.com or call us at 204-784-4010, or find us on Facebook as teentalkMB. We provide some solid snacks, a chance to meet other teens from around the city, an opportunity to learn lifelong skills and bus tokens too.
If you are looking for volunteer hours as part of your high school degree this totally counts. It also looks great on a resume and we can provide references.
