For our final Canada 150 post we want to highlight the launch of a new Indigenous podcast which comes out on July 1, Kanata Pod. It’s a podcast series that centres Indigenous voices committed to reimagining and reshaping Canada to bring us forward into the next 150 years.
Kanata Pod is a live podcast series featuring Indigenous thinkers from all walks of life, committed to a pathway forward in Canada. They are recording their first season starting Sunday June 25th – Saturday July 1st, 2017 as part of the Kanata Festival on Turtle Island in beautiful Coast Salish territory in downtown Vancouver. Each recording will feature multiple guests presenting their thoughts & ideas on transforming Canada through an Indigenous lens. Every episode of the first season will drop on July 1st, 2017 for your binge listening pleasure!
Kanata Pod is hosted over on Indian & Cowboy an Indigenous podcast collective which is undergoing a transformation into a full blown Indigenous media platform. It will include more media, videos, and writing all from Indigenous perspectives. This transformation also launches on July 1.
