IWD 2017

0

March 8 is International Women’s Day (IWD). It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. We continue to have work to do. Are you ready to #BeBoldForChange this IWD 2017 and beyond?

What if the world truly stepped up to take bold action?

Each one of us -women, men and non-binary people – joining forces can be a leader within our own spheres of influence by taking bold action to accelerate gender parity. Through purposeful collaboration, we can help women advance and unleash their limitless potential which in turn lifts all of us up.

Call on the masses or call on yourself to help forge a better world – a more gender inclusive world. Will you #BeBoldForChange on International Women’s Day 2017 and beyond by taking action that truly drives the greatest change for women?

Use IWD as an important opportunity to:

  • Celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women because visibility and awareness help drive positive change for women.
  • Declare actions you’ll take as an individual to help progress the gender agenda because purposeful action can accelerate gender parity across the world. Use hash tags #IWD2017 #ADayWithoutAWoman and #BeBoldForChange
  • Show solidarity and support for women by wearing a red arm band on March 8
  • Self-care as a woman in the world is a movement against sexist expectations. As Audre Lord once said, “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.”
