Differences / Discrimination / Power and Privilege / What Can I do if I’m Experiencing Discrimination? / How can I be an Ally? / FAQ

Diversity is how we are all different from one another. Some ways that people can be different can include our gender, our sexuality, our race or ethnicity or culture, our religion or spirituality, our family, our class or social standing, our age, our body size, our family, and our abilities.
We think diversity (our differences) should be appreciated! Although this is something we should all strive for, we think that just appreciating diversity isn’t enough. We must also take a stand against oppression, in all of its forms. In order to do this, we must first fully understand and own up to our own oppressive attitudes and behaviours and challenge them every day. We should surround ourselves and communicate with those who are different from us. We all have much to learn and our own lessons to teach. Learning the value of diversity is a life long journey, that at times can be difficult, but also exciting and rewarding. Check this section out to learn more!
